Reclaim series

Reclaim. To rescue from an undesirable state; also: to restore to a previous natural state.

Cups, bowls and other useful objects made from recycled clay. Each have their own very unique pattern based on the different types of clays that were being processed during the previous making cycle in the studio. Most are left raw on the outside and glazed with a transparent glossy glaze on the inside. Some are glazed entirely in a transparent matt glaze.

color shades

For this Series, I developed a green copper glaze and a red iron glaze which I apply to four different coloured clay bodies: beige, grey, red, and black. The pieces take on different colours according to the clay body that the glaze was applied to and still all fit really well together. Mix and Match.

Galaxy Series

Barrel fired ceramics. The pieces are placed in an oil drum with saw dust, dried flowers, dried banana and orange peels, pine cones, nut shells, red iron and copper oxides, coffee grinds, a generous sprinkling of salt and other natural ingredients. All colorings and markings come from the fire.

Raw collection

The basics. This collection highlights minimalist design. Clean forms often glazed only on the inside to keep the simple organic aesthetic. They are beautiful on their own and can also be combined well with pieces from my other collections.
